Top Breedings - Page 1

I am in search of a top prospect sport puppy.  This site was mentioned by a co-worker.  Although there are many breedings advertised here, I have yet to see anything that I am interested in.  Are there other GSD sites that I can search to find a puppy?  Please I am not looking to purchase a pet, I am looking for top breedings.  Purchase price is not a concern, as long as the breeding is top quality.  I understand that a puppy is a crap shoot, but to limit my risk, I am looking at both sire and dam, both parents must be proven.

Kenny perhaps if you shared a little bit more information about your background and location we could come up with recommendations for you.

Most of the good breeders I personally know do not advertise on this or similar boards becuase people are recommended to them or learn about them thru their accomplishments in the breed and sport.

Have you had GSDs before? Have you titled a dog to a SchH3 or similar title. If not getting a "top prospect" gets more difficult. Do you have a preference for certain lines - West German, DDR, Czech, Dutch etc.? Will the dog be an outside dog, house dog, kennel dog? Will the dog have any other job besides the sport - ex. service or SAR dog?

If price is no object why are you looking for a puppy rather than a trained/titled dog or a green dog? As a friend says when buying a puppy what you get for your money is "puppy breath" and a best guess and anybody that tells you they can GUARANTEE anything else is full of horse puckies.

So share with us a bit more info and I bet we can come up with some good recommendations for you.
