Hi all,

I added a new feature "Quick Register",.   Two links on the left hand side.  "Quick reg male" and "Quick reg female".

It only asks for a name (and parents if you want)  and if it finds it in first go your set.

Should make registrations for those "way back" pedigree's more easier, since you can add all the juicy stuff afterwards (kkl, hd , etc...)

Thank you Oli, you are always looking for ways to make our use of this site easier to understand and use. I know that we all appreciate your hard work.

:)

You have to give me feedback on how it works.  I didn't do that much testing.

One other thing I am thinking about how to implement is a whole pedigree tree.  i.e. 5 generations of empty boxes.

Perhaps you could improve the GSD search facility.

For example we put in the dogs first name with an asterisk, and all dogs with that name come up - then we scroll and choose.

For example Zamp*

The Quick Search on the pedigree does that now, but you don't have to put in an asterick.  If you entered Zamp, you will get all dogs with Zamp in the name.

You don't need an asterisk - everything is a wild card!  It would be nice to narrow it down, but generally, I'll put up with it.

Better than the PEDIGREE QUERY for Thoroughbreds, because unfortunately that otherwise great system is restricted to "exactly this string" - so you have to know the horse's whole name, etc.

But I'm sure I've said it before; the TB Ped Query is the best I've seen, frankly.  Easy to use, and shows up to 5 gens at 1 time.  If they'd fix that name search to go "wild card" rather than just strictly whatever word/phrase you put in, it'd be about perfect.  http://www.pedigreequery.com/
