Sounds legit to me.  In my experience the general tone of a scammer revolves around money...either they are anxious to send you some or for you to send them some.  This email didn't mention money at all.  Also he is offering to send you photo's...also in my experience when you ask for more information or photo's they again respond about money and don't answer any of your questions.  Scammers also won't send personal information... so if this guy is willing to send you pics, answer your specific questions, give his full name, address, phone # and a reference I would believe it's not a scam.  Always be wary but this doesn't sound to me like one of "those" emails.

Regards,

Melanie

I get a suspicious e-mail about buying pups from time to time. The latest, this week, looks fairly innocent, but all the supposed buyer wants to know is the price. They say they will take care of shipping. to me that's a red flag, along with mentioning the WRONG BREED on the first contact...

Hmmmmm.

I don't sell any dog to anybody without several in-depth telephone interviews.  I'm thinking this one is not going to call.

For my opinion it¿s a spam. I had a lot of requests like this. Often the people don¿t ask for price, but they "want pay soon whatever" and "need my bank-number soon" - than they "need" my adress. If I answer them, the adress they can find on my website - I will not get any more e-mails. Thats why I decide for my self only to sell to people what I will see here in my house to keep or to take the puppy. That¿s sad for some friends of GSD from other countries. But I don¿t trust this e-mails without any adress, phone number....

For an airline captain he certainly has a very poor grasp of english & grammer...

& he didn't realsie what the South African weather was like...

& how come he could take care of her before,  when presumably, he was also an airline pilot...

Hope he ain't the captain of the plane when I next fly.

I would be very suspicious...ask yourself ,,,no name no p hone no address,,,,,how did he get your addy....?

why cant he find someone where his domain is now.....doesnt ring true to me......Hundreds of other places locally where he is....why would he spend hundreds of dollars to ship a dog to get rid of it....??????I wouldnt even trust a phone call...

I dont know who you are,  but if you are not careful he will have your address and access to all your info   thats how the big boys work.....make you think your getting something for nothing  and wham o   someone shows up at your door next week  and you are defenseless...in todays world    id be    Very Careful    ask him what airlines he works for and call the administration dept of that airlines and ask for verification from employee supervisor...All they will do is verify that there is a man with his name     ....did he even give you a full name?

there have been warnings about scams like these. people with pups in africa who for one reason or another can't keep the pup, etc and apparently there is no one else in africa (its a pretty big continent) who can care for it or where the weather is different. i wouldn't get involved with them. if you respond then they'll start with $ requests; for shipping, etc. you'll never see a pup. it's happened to people already regarding a bulldog pup. the photo the scammers used was taken from petfinder i think and they used it again and again.

Spam. Definitely spam. The written in precisely the same fomat as the others, but with better grammar. The money request would surely follow. IMHO, DO NOT REPLY.
