Those hips look fabulous, should have no problem passing.

gsdlvr2 - I tried several times also and had trouble - I had to pull them into MS Office Picture Manager and resize them for web pages then resave them before I could upload them for him.

I'm doing OFA xrays on my boy tomorrow. He's got an a stamp, (a normal) :), but I'm thinking not a bad idea to do both. Plus he's now almost 6 and I wouldn't mind seeing what his hips look like now. Anyone have experience with xraying an "older" dog for certification? From what I remember the positioning was not so great on the ones for the A stamp, so will hopefully be able to get a better position this time. I took the xray myself and he was still kinda lanky and it was hard to get him straight enough. LOL! Hopefully it will be easier this time. Might even try it awake, although he could use a quick dental cleaning. Will try to post them once I have them.

m z - be patient, I am sure some will come along that can give you opinions of these xrays.
Rezkat - which do you think is better to do? OFA or PENNhip? Thor is 2 years old today and ready to go for his - yipee!

Rez I hope things go well on the xrays. My girl's sire was imported from Hungary with an a stamp--at about 77 months old he got a Good from OFA.

Thanks!
I've got no definite feel either way. I do feel that maybe the SV is a bit more consistent in their ratings though. Plus, they only look at GSD hips and they've been doing them for a really really long time!
Actually I'm considering doing all three! LOL I was comfortable with just having the a stamp. It's only recently that I think that I'd like to do both. Plus, I'd like to know what they look like after almost 6 years of work on them. ie: Schutzhund and Herding! Our clinic does not do Penn Hip, which have to go to another clinic to have those done. Which is probably why I haven't, it's a heck of lot easier and less expensive to do them where you work! I will be doing my females too she also has the "a" normal, but is just 2 1/2. She is just out of heat, so don't want to do them just yet.
Good luck with your xrays too clews! The only bad thing about bringing the dog to work with you and doing it yourself is that if the day goes to crap, which can happen! The employees dogs ended getting pushed off, rightfully so, in a case like this!
