Virtual GSD Relay for Life Team - Page 1

I would like to form a virtual relay for life - GSD team to raise money for the 2008 Pottstown Relay for Life.  Last year our local vet formed a team called Canines for a cure that consisted of 47 dogs raising over $13,000 in less than 2 months.  I thought our German Shepherds could do better.  A calendar was created with the picture of the 16 top fundraising dogs and is being sold now as another fundraising idea.

I am horrible at thinking of clever names, so I was hoping the creative geniuses on this board could help out with a team name and would also like to know if anyone would like to sign their dog up on the virtual team.  It can all be done on line and cost $10.00 plus $5.00 if you would like your T shirt mailed to you.  It would also be cool if we could make our own "working dog" calendar showcasing off some of the incredible working photo's I have seen posted on this board.

Oh - almost forgot - the money goes directly to the American Cancer Society.  Pottstown Relay is ranked #5 in the world and raised $1,005,894 in 2007.

I stink at coming up with good names too, but I would like to join the Virtual Relay Team!  Does it have to have a name first though, before we can begin?

Yes, unfortunately I have to enter a name to create the team on line to give access for the dogs to join.  I absolutely have no creativity when it comes to names - my team I formed for my company - is Team DSM (how boring)!!!

Well since you are starting the team it should be something that can incorporate some or all of your dogs' names.

Great - keep them coming!  I actually like GSDFAN's.  Would fit all the dogs on the team!

We also need a motto to - like "taking a bite out of cancer" or something like that.

Any ideas on that one?

I am the worst at names but feel that since my 13yr old son (who is a Cancer Survivor) was helped by the American Cancer Society and has walked in the Survivor's lap of the Relay for Life, that I need to at least attempt helping with a name.

How is "Shepherds for Life"?
