Heard about this food from a trainer. Has anyone had any experience with the Evo Dry Red Meat food?
Thanks!

I use the Evo dry for 2 or my dogs that have intolerance to grain. They do extremly well on it and have gained weight. It is very rich food and most will not tolerate it alone but mixed with another high quailty food (Canidae) they do great!

I have also had success with it, but mix it with canned pumpkin. i don't trust the complete lack of fiber, and the dogs like it much better this way.

IMO the protein level is too high. Unless your dog is pulling sleds and getting conditioned for the Iditerod, they don't need this much protein (42%) and it is dangerous for their organs/kidneys. I wouldn't feed any dog more than 34% protein and even that's much higher than they need.

I gave it a try with my dogs and did not like the lack of fiber either, created very dark, hard stools in larger quantities with a very strong smell. Went back to Royal Canin24 which I also fed 50% RAW with both types of dry. I also found it much more expensive than the RC24.
