sorry, this was double !!

Picture this :

You as a breeder, are trying to do everything right....... tittles, Koers every duck in line.

You keep the one that you could picture in your future breedings and it turns out to have this ONE little thing that you do not wish to see...... you could easily cover that, WOULD YOU DO IT ? You raised that little one, came to like it more than you would admit, but still you see that little fault .......

Would you part with that one, or just keep it it ?

I allredy have made up my mind, but it bugs me tremendously. I dont see me as a heartless jerk, but on the other hand I am a breeder not a collector !

Kind Regards Ulli Dresbach

Ulli,

I was all set to read this, but your topic is blank. I think that you hit the SEND button too fast!

Regards!

Ulli,

I am no breeder, (I am too soft hearted), but you have to do what is right for you and your breeding program, and what is best for the breed.

All the best!

Dawn,

thanks for your kind words. I am very well aware, of what is best for my breedings, and you will forgive me if this sounds snobby, but I am at a point where I feel like s**t ! I exacly know, beeing around this breed for so long, and on top beeing a breedwarden, what is best for the breed, I still feel like doing wrong with this PARTICULAR pup !

Ulli,

My dad used to say haste makes waste. When in doubt, think it out, and you will get the answer you are looking for.

Ulli: What in the corn county is the one little thing  you dont want to see?  my mind is running   not  a picture in thread?

Being a breeder and a snotty one, I have made mad, pass up deals, sold pups , and refuse to breed things that are not just right...so tell me or inbox me.....if you dont want to put it out .....I realize the info may not need to be thrown to the crows....!!!!!

As a breeder, I wouldn't cover that one little fault and use the dog but as a too-soft hearted person I may very well keep the dog as a pet.  It would depend on how much room I had at the time.

If it would make you feel any better Ulli, I'd be happy to take the pup and you could visit any time.

Dawn,

my grandfather used to breed GSD's. I dont recall to many things he used to say, but strange enough, on e thing I do remember :

Put the best together & hope for the best !

It's not that I am in doubt with this 6 month old, just for this one little fault, but that I am so attached to this one, where i should just say....... it does not fit my needs, sell it !! It just plain simply bugs me.
