Not only that it was rumored that one of the brothers had a long term sly affair with a woman of a very well known top kennel and provided substantial assistance in obtaining achiwevements in the breed. This was a poorly kept secret amoung most kormeisters at the time and many Americans who attended the Sieger show each year and imported animals from these top kennels knew about it too. This was a great scandal as was the "health issues" of Canto Wienerau. In spite of all the games and problems, these two produced some very fine animals with good movement and great pigment and class. They probably could have done better if they were straighter and more honest.

Preston,
Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you in St. Louis. I don't know what you look like and didn't hear you were there or I would have looked you up. I didn't soicalize much after the 4 drink Thursday night in the host hotel bar, so I missed a lot of introductions I might otherwise have enjoyed.
Maybe next time...
