did you guys think shes a dwarf, ive gotten two different answers

Wow...she sure is awful tiny (and cute) however, it's sort of hard to tell at this age.
Exactly how many weeks are they in this pic? And, was she always very tiny compared to the rest of the litter? i.e. was she the runt or is the size difference just recently really showing itself as the others sprout?

they are 8wks on friday-they are my friends litter-she is very cute!!!!1 she was always little, yes she was the runt, but she does not seem to be growing like the others, ill post another picture a little bigger si you can see they size difference.

Yes, big difference.
I've read that the dwarfism in gsd's generally presents itself around 3 to 8 weeks. You start noticing a substantial size difference and that difference grows pretty dramatically after 8 wks.
If I remember correctly, I think there are blood chemistry tests that can show that the hormones that are supposed to be circulating may be absent of at very low levels. The GH (Growth Hormone), etc.
Sorry, this is all I can remember on this.
I hope you find your answers. Perhaps someone here has actual experience and can be more of a help than I.

Several years ago, I had a litter of 13 pups and had 2 runts in the litter. The one was even small compared to the "runt", he was the 1st born. At the time I also thought he was a dwarf. He grew up to normal size.
