I am thinking of breeding my DDR female to this male AFTER she is titled and OFA'd. I would like the opinions of this cross...especially from the DDR breeders.

Nice dog. But after all your hard work titling her and such, why breed to something that isnt titled? Thats just my question?

I have owned several Granfental bitches and it is my experience that they generally produce better than themselves. I cannot say about their males, I haven't had experience with them. I had an untitled Grafental bitch who produced SG and V rated dogs, through her titled mate; one of my DDR title males.
In my opinion breeding to an untitled dog does not diminish the potential quality of the pups, but it can diminish "resale value" of them. Customers often tend to think that titling is the only thing that is important in a dog's pedigree. It is more important to examine a dog's ambition, drive, and physical build over titling alone. An excellent dog, for whatever reasons, might be untitled.
It only looks shifty when you own the untitled dog, and you're breeding him/her to a high-titled mate. If you don't personally own the titled dog the perception can be that of a hobbiest breeder trying to buy quality. Perception can be everything.
Thumbs up on getting her titled and OFA'd before breeding! I wish more people did that.

I looked at Durbas, he is very nice. I also like that he is a solid black male. My DDR female's sire is black so she should produce nice DARK pups. He also has nice correct conformation.
I also was looking at Aron vom Poppitz up in Washington. I really like this male. He is V rated and is also ScH3.

Jyl,
I have a Durbas daughter, she is only 14 weeks right now, but I am very impressed with her. Great attitude, excellent drives and gorgeous to boot (I'm not prejudiced-LOL)

Mindy,
Which litter letter is your female from? Is she one of the "Q" litter?

Puck is handsome and titled!
