I think it is just no tracking, everything else in SchH1 obedience and protection the same.

Sch. A is a degree you get when you do the Sch. 1 obedience and the Sch. 1 Protection at the same trial and get at a very minimum 70 points for each of them. You just don't do the Sch. 1 tracking part. The real question is can you salvage a weekend at a club trial by going for the Sch. 1, failing the track and then saying you just want the Sch. A and you have failed the TR 1??
Does anybody no the rule?

I don't know a club that would let you change your entry after the trial has started. If you've entered for a Sch1, then you are going for a Sch1.

Judge would not allow this either. IMO that shows pretty poor sportsmanship for someone to even attempt to do something like that.

My guess is you would still need 80 in protection, I or A. No?

I hear now a 70 in protection is a passing score. But if say you got a 70 on your SchH1 and wanted to trial for a SchH2, then you would have to repeat the SchH1 and pass with at least an 80.
