Man jailed for taunting police K9 in PA - Page 1

I just read in this mornings local paper that some idiot was walking past a police k9 vehicle and the dog began barking at the man.  The guy decides to start screeming at the dog inside the cruiser saying "shut the f up before I shank you, I hate f'n dogs" then he pulls a silver blade knife out of his pocket in front of the officer who was approaching the cruiser.  The guy got arressted and is being held on $100,000 bail.  The paper said it's a felony to taunt, beat, kick, threaten or assault a k9 and that the offense is considered more serious than on the handler/officer since it's on an animal that is considerably expensive to train, maintain and replace. 

What an idiot this guy was!  I bet if the dog wasn't behind that cage in a car he would have thought twice about pulling that knife.  Too bad the dog was confined; bet he would have showed him who was his daddy. lol

On a side note...acussed killers sometimes don't even get $100,000 bail settings.....nice to see someone was looking out for the dog and sending a message that it's not tolerated.

Glad to hear he was caught most of the time it isn't that way.  If you don't like dogs why in the world are you going to walk be a marked K-9 car???  I agree he needs to be locked up on stupidity  if nothing else. Glad to see one Law that is enforced (just wish more were). when it comes to animals

it would be nice if the same would happen if someone was taunting our dogs.  it does cause aggression, and who gets put to sleep when the dog finially bites someone. 

Very good, glad to hear there's still some sense in this world.
