Unless the litter was registered with AKC, you will probably have no way to register with AKC.  If the litter was registered with ANY organization, you should have been provided with the papers to register your pup.  Did you buy the pup with the agreement or understanding that it would be registered, or was it sold as a pet, without papers???

What do you know about the pedigree?  You say they are DDR, but I've never heard of either of the parents.  There are a LOT of people out there claiming to have DDR dogs, but surprisingly few of them really are DDR.

You can register the dog with AKC on an Indefinite Listing Privilege (ILP), a program that allows unregistered dogs of registerable breeds to compete in AKC Performance and Companion Events.  However, your dog will have to be spayed or neutered to get this registration.

Is it possible that your dog was registered with the UKC (United Kennel Club) and not the USKC?
