Some dogs....and inparticular GSD's can't handle Beef...Chicken will give them all the calcium they need along with their kibble...

O Man is right  and make sure to include the bone   not just chicken    wings and necks have a lot of bones   and they chew then better instead of drumstick and thigh bones.....

I use calves liver and even pork raw liver...an old german breeder wrote a book and said either or....as long as it is raw.....and fresh...and thats up to you.....
