You should be worried about giving her the calcium! Stop. At 4 months you can not tel what size your dog will end up. Feed her what she needs, nature and genetics will do the rest.

Do not give Calcium tablets at all...go to OFA website and read about HD   and calcium in a pup will be absorbed in all the wrong places....kidneys,   pancreas  and form calcium deposits

Your vet is not educated in Nutrition....only medicine.....take the word of reputable breeders of german dogs,,,

Cottage cheese is the source of extra calcium and all bitches should have been fed cottage cheese, yogurt and veggies in their diet     add raw meat for natural vitamin C

and if your vet tells yu raw meat causes worms   and make a dog wild blood thirsty    Change vets....I experienced a woman last week at Walmart when I checked out my raw liver that said she had two vets here in Texas tell her, that feeding raw meat causes dogs to go crazy and blood thirsty killing anything  .....I almost laughed and had to contain myself..

another man called me to buy a pup and said his vet told him     raw meat causes worms  ......another wild statement....yeah  you leave raw meat in a bowl outside and flies ,,,,lay eggs on it and tape worms, roundworms and ecoli run gammet......but use your brain........give meat when hungrry    take up and throw away if they dont eat it in 25 mins....

feed raw chicken necks, raw wings and raw liver in very small amounts to start with....give cottage cheese as a treat twice a day for 4 or 5 days a week    buy it in big containers at Sams   ...CLub........

Your pup will grow at the rate best for her.  She sounds like a normal pup.  Throw away the calcium supplements :-((  NEVER give extra calcium to a pup...UGH!

she actually is normal height and weight     slow growth is what y want     a fat young pup is not good    ...let her eat her kibble and hope its not first ingredient of corn   .....
