Congratulations & a Thank you - Page 1

Wanted to send my congratulations to Melanie (GSDFAN) and Andy for taking 1rst Place  in Rally Advanced at yesterday's Delaware Valley German Shepherd AKC club trial.  It is great to see a Schtuzhund III male go out and have so much fun in  Rally.  The spectators were blown away by his gorgeous heeling and his lighting quick finishes.  Several people commented to me about how impressed they were with the way you both work so well together.  You both make it look so easy.  Andy is such a great advocate for our breed as everyone who meets him falls a little bit in love with him, not just for his working ability but for his wonderful, outgoing temperment.

Also, a big thank you for handling Molly (Felice vom Amulree) for me yesterday and getting her 3rd leg for her CD title.  My nerves just could not take showing both her and Libby on the same day with the times being so close.   You have such a great talent with training and handling dogs.  I don't think many people could come in cold like that and show her so well.  I appreciate all the time and work you put in helping me train Molly and all the videos and pictures you take of her not to mention posting them onto her Gallery on this database.  The world of Schutzhund and AKC Obedience need more people like you in it to help encourage and recruit more people in dog sport.  Both Molly and I have benefited immensely from your support and just thought the gsd world should hear about it.

Wow, thanks Cheryl that was very nice!!

You have done an amazing job too, the sport needs more people like you as well... dedicated and eager to learn.  Molly is dragging alot behind her name for such a young dog, Kudos to you for all the time and effort you have invested.  I am thrilled you started Schutzhund, you guys are doing awesome and we will be celebrating a SchH1 in no time!!!

Congratulations, Awesom!  Being an AKC obedience/rally person ,  I was thrilled to see a brag I recognized!!    I just got home from our clubs trial with our 2nd Rally Excellent leg.

Rozoan:

Congratulations on your second leg to Rally Excellent.  That is great.! I know how much work it takes to get them ready for competition, especially at that level.  I got Libby's first Rally Excellent leg yesterday as well and a bonus leg on Molly's CD today.  It was a very nice weekend for me and all my friends I train with.   I wish more people would compete in both venues (akc obedience & schutzhund).  They both have so much to offer and it was nice seeing so many German Shepherds take first place. 

Now that Molly and I have our CD and Rally N behind us, we can concentrate on Schutzhund.  I have high hopes for some intense training throughout the fall and winter.  I just hope I can keep up with Molly in our training!  Hate to see the dog drug down by an inexperienced handler!

Mel:  I could just imagine if it would have been Libby on a down stay when Devon came over to the ring with a cookie yelling to you if she could have it.  That cookie wouldn't have lasted long enough for Devon to take a bite!  Libby would have been over that fence with amazing speed and agility and would have done a perfect sit in front of her!
