I would like to hear opinions and experience with this stud. What does he produce? strengths? weaknesses?, how does he work, etc. What does he pass on to his puppies? Feel free to contact me privately or here, as you please. What do you think of him? Do you like or not like him and why? I am looking for a very strong dog and one who passes this on to his progeny. I have a nice bitch I am considering for this breeding it would be 3-4 on VA5 Shanto's Xano also.

I love fabian! he is very striking strong male! I liked him so much I purchased from Julie Fabian's littermate Flint! I sent one of my females to Fabian for breeding a couple years ago, unfortunately, she is a late in cycle breeder and our timing was off. If I didn't own Fabian's brother Flint, I would have definitely sent my other female to Fabian for breeding.  Flint is an incredibly strong male, with very good working ability, very strong bite work, he tracks great! plus he produces very very very nice pups! I am willing to bet that Fabian is just as good! Flint is naturally protective and a very serious dog. Fabian is as well.

He's a good looking dog generally speaking and overall from the pic. Uhm...Looks a little too angulated in the rear, not the greatest pigment, question the ears but maybe that's not the greatest pic.  You could email a judge and ask more questions - I would. I wouldn't feel comfortable breeding 3-4 but people do it everyday and get good looking dogs...I just worry about the genetic weaknesses that develop later on. I don't know anything about his temperament or working ability, so I would do more research on that, too....maybe ask a judge about that and watch some of his show and working video footage. Good Luck!

VA Fabian vom Mittelwest  Sch 3  is a very nice dog !   His pigment is excellent, and his structure is not over angulated and produces puppies that are very willing to please and love to work.   I am doing a repeat breeding to him the week end of the  N.A.S.S.   My female throws large puppies that  LOVED the tug, easily trained and had awesome eye focus on the handler !   Puppies will be due mid December.

This means were going to be expecting you, during the mid December to spam the advertisement section Love thy shepherd?

gsdlvr2, I have worked with some of his progeny that were sold into pet homes, you may email me if you like.

Oh yes, and heaven forbid someone advertise their nice titled breeding...some people have never titled a dog in their life and have no place throwing stones.

I meant to say Flood, not spam.... Sorry for the confusion.

KCzaja,
I said this simply because LOVE THY SHEPHERD had a field day flooding up the advertisement section back when he had his first litter with Fabian. Some people here got so fed up with LOVE THY SHEPHERD's flooding crap that they were crying out to people here on this site to buy his puppies so he can shut up.

I would first ask your definition of "very strong dog" before going any farther with recommendations of stud dogs.

Molly, my definition of " very strong dog" is a dog who has speed, crushing grips, fight drive, clear headed, able to anything asked of him.........one who when he works reminds you of a working line dog, as close to what the Capt. desired as possible in a showline dog.
