discuss it with the breeder?   He would need time to make the flight arrangments, find a flight, book the flight, get the health certificate for the pup (meaning vet appointment, vet visit), make arrangements to drive to the airport 2 hours before flight leaves (possibly hard to make time for this if the breeder has a job, kennel, training obligations or whatever, and especially if the airport is hours away) - maybe also he is waiting for your check to clear before making these arrangements.  Anyway, the one to speak to is the breeder.   Talk to him and find out what his plan is.

Yes you seem a little impatient ...if you sent a check it takes three days to clear the bank which might be Monday with the weekend...the puppy has to have a health certificate another day to obtain and then flight arrangments depending on the area the dog is shipped to a spot for a crate/vs cargo already booked so it is not so simple as a twenty four hour turnaround...also take in to consideration as the breeder may have a drive to the airport for shipping which in my case would be three hours one way...six hour trip...so it does take some planning...the breeder cannot control flight schedules and it may take a few days alone to find the space...also keep in mind not as many flights saturday or sunday...overall in general it takes me a week depending upon weather another issue some airlines have temperature restrictions ...be patient I am sure he/she will arrive..communicate with the breeder...Marlene

Are you in the U.S.?  Is the pup domestic or an import?  Either way, if the breeder just got your money on Thursday than I would expect no earlier than the end of next week.

If you're in the U.S. remember also that Monday is a holiday, also.

It's also a holiday here in Canada!

Figure about a eek after you send the money. Not everybody can clear their schedule, get an appt. at the vet for a health certificate, make flight arrangments, make a trip to purchase a new crate, bathe the puppy if needed, etc. at the drop of a hat, especially if weather is a factor or they hold down a "real" job, have kids, family plans, whatever.

In my case, I have at least an hour and a half drive to and fron a major airport, so a whole day is shot to hell.  If I have two to ship, I will of course try to make only one trip, and I also try to schedule non-stop flights departing to avoid the horrible traffic jams morning and evening en route to the airport. Sometimes the flights are full as far as animals on board, so I have to put the shipping date off another day.

If your dog is coming from Europe, keep in mind most shipping is done out of major airports, Frankfurt in Germany for instance. My last puppy import had to be transported clear down from the Hamburg area, a very long trip requiring the breeder's husband to take a whole day off with notice to his employer well in advance.

If you sent a check Thursday, chances are the breeder won't see it credited to his/her account till Monday or Tues., depending on their bank and the hour their mail is delivered.

Good luck with your pup.
