hello need some help how far along should i have a sonagram done on my pargnet female to get a good read thanks top hat

My vet prefers about 32 days into the pregnancy for an ultrasound.

My vet does 25 days very accurately but 28 is what most say....

Hi topthat,
there are different ways to confirm pregnancy. The one I prefer is an ultrasound around 21 days after the mating. This will only tell you, that your female recieved or not. Only thing you can really see are cell mases. You can do a count, but it will only give you an estimate. These cell mases can be "absorbed" so, do not rely on that count. What I will do is at around day 60 of pregnancy, I will have my Vet do annother Ultrasound. My Vet is pretty experienced in that field, so he was every time right on the number of pups. He can also tell me about deformaties of the unborn pups and if the pups are alive or not.
