Very entertaining article. Sounds almost like the US American lines vs imports argument better known as......my dog is better than your dog - na,na,na,na,na .

Hmmm.  I better not tell our West German sable and bi-colors they have sloped backs and aren't the right color. I don't think they would believe me.

lol...I vomited a little in my mouth when I read that

I guess they conveniently forgot about the Ambred Showlines...And the White dogs...and the Dilutes...and the Shilohs...and the Kings...and the Pandas....and the Imported Showlines....and the imported working lines....and the imported DDRs....and the imported Czechs...did I miss any?....all of which are AKC registered....but breeding to different standards...woops

"Our dogs are healthier and have a better personality," she said. "Those overbred shepherds in the West are merely about good looks."

I cant possibly take this lady seriously. I simply see a woman using the media to sell her dogs. I think any breeder would use the follow quote marked in yellow above to seek out more potential buyers.

It's amazing how breeders such as Gerlinde Schultze loves to theroize endlessly about how long they've been breeding, yet fail to have an open mind on different bloodlines.

What makes East german bloodlines so much superior then west german bloodlines? What special talent do they have that will out beat the west german bloodlines? Do they crap out gold?!?!?!?

I'm proud to own my west german showline bitch, Zambi. her mother side, from her mother to grandmother are certified therapy dogs in Austria with SchH1 title who help people who are disabled. I wonder if This breeder Gerlinde Schultze volunteers her time to take her breedable dogs to hospitals or nursing homes and to help those who are sick? Or is it ONLY how deep the dog bites?
