Hello All,

I would like some advice on adding some muscle to my show line gsd. He's about 85 or 90 pounds and looks preety good  but I would like to add some muscle on him before a show I will be attending in December 2007. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Go jog a dogging, I've been taking Theo out when I ride my bike, he's 2 yrs.
he just moves at a steady pace, not real fast though or you can burn out
their pads.

I take all my dogs to a river 10 minutes away from my house. The water is just  shoulder deep and throw the ball for good 30 to 45 minutes. running and swimming is a great exercise. I do this twice a week.

Add (1) hard muscle work and (2) add protein.  No other legal way.

Swimming, weight pulling, hill running, mountain climbing, running in sand -- and protein.

Jogging will burn fat but not build much muscle.

Exercise alone will not work.  Increasing calories and protein alone will not work.  You must do both.

If you vastly increase the exercise levels, protein has to go way up -- over 40%.
