My friend has a male GSD and i think he's around 12 months. She wants to know if splayed feet can be corrected or is the dog too old? She asked me but i don't really know the answer so i was hoping u guys could help. He is on adult food and i saw him recently and he isn't overweight. U can slightly see his ribs.

Thanks

M

She can try to house him on pea gravel or sand, but most times it's in the genes and not much is going to help. Concrete is the worst flooring for a dog with splayed feet. In my experience, many dogs with flat feet also have long, weak pasterns.

Like Blitzen said it's most times genetic long clawes don't help make sure she keeps  them short.
