HELP!!! boss ate soap....!!!! - Page 1

boss got a bar of soap off the side of the tub, and he ate half of it  !  will this hurt him???

Most likely not, unless it was something used as house hold cleaner. But if it's just bath soap, or even dish soap, he should be okay. He might have a stomach ache, though.

thanks sooo much...i was hoping for that answer....yea, it was bathsoap and it's suppose to be all natural...no harsh chemicals...so that probably helps his case....does anyone know why he would eat soap?, other than just because dogs eat wierd things?  just wondering cause i know in people, craving soap (to eat) can be a sign of heath problems....

Some dogs eat all sorts of bizarre stuff including their own stools. I think they do it because they can .

my thoughts to blitz......i was just wondering about it because he never went after the soap before......earlier, when he was in the bathroom i saw him licking the soap....i shooed him away from it and i thought was the end of it......i should have moved it but i got distracted from my BAD toothache....so i ended up on the kitchen floor, screaming my head off from my tooth.( think i have exposed nerve, go to the dentist tomorrow)...and meanwhile he ate the soap......BTW...even after RX meds my head is swollen and tooth still killin me....anyone know a trick to bring the swelling down??

He will probably have diarhea <sp>

Whatever you do, dont use oralgel, it destroys the gum tissue according to the dentist. I use Ice Packs I know it sounds weird but it orks. SO does swishing whiskey around in your mouth, Swallow enough and you wont care about the toothache lol. Pain pills never worked on my toothaches.

8 TV remote control, yes 8.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

13 fire starter logs, yes 13 then voimted on the rug 

some silicon type material from the handle of a hairbrush again all on  the rug                                 

1 vacuum cleaner   

the rug got pulled up finally couldn't take it any more

I know there's much more I'm just blocking it out

So I really wouldn't worry too much about soap I'm sure he'll be fine

You're probably going to hate me for telling  you this - Blitz has never destroyed anything ever. He's soon 6 and still has the first toys we bought  him at 8 weeks old. They just don't squeak anymore. However, he's not perfect; he does have one vice, he eats dryer sheets (prefers Bounce).

he "may" poop bubbles, or so I have heard.  Can't say any of mine of eaten that.  Just very expensive things, like 20 plus 100 mg deramaxx that required IV fluids, etc. etc.
