I just viewed this on tv (fox 18) at 10 pm and I am AM SO UP SET!! they blamed the dogs which were tied to a tree in thier yard minding thier own business. Parents/Grandparents were not watching the two year old and took over a hour to find the child. AGAIN STUPID PEOPLE !!!!! I have tried to find the clip but can not find it!

Unfiriggin believable! What a heartwrenching story. Sometimes I just don't know what goes threw people's minds?? Why would you leave a toddler unattended and out of your sights for 2 minutes let alone outside??? It only takes them a few seconds to get their little legs to take them to where they want to go. My little one can make it up a flight of steps faster than I can. lol
The article said the baby got tangled in the chain....there's another tragedy to prove that chaining dogs is not cool! When will the public ever learn from other's mistakes?? Just terrible situation that could have and should have been avoided.

Unhappily, the article and the video do use the words "German Shepherd". Definitely, not good PR for the breed even if the dogs were mixes.

Yes Agar you are right they can move when they want or see something.
I blame the Great grand parents
It was not the dogs fault but thiers BUT it is a helpless animal the pays the final price let it be right or wrong. I could not believe what I was hearing when the MOTHER said people should not have aggressive dogs!!!! I came unglued
People should care for the children better.

It's really tragic all the way around. The poor dogs will probably be destroyed and they really are the least to blame.

Bottom of the article says dogs will be held for 10 days and then killed.
They also said it in the video clip.
I sure hope they think of charges the babysitters and the mom for not looking after that precious baby!
Poor dogs and poor dog owner suffering for the other lacking abilities.
No where does it say the dogs attacked; just that he got tangled in the chain and was mauled. What is mauled anyway?
No mention of bite marks!
So what the dog laid on him maybe in an attempt to help him who knows!
