I have four of their puppies right now. Basco/Brugia. I have bought over 20 puppies in my time with this crazy sport/addiction, and have never in all that time, gotten pups so clean, so well started, so happy, overall wonderful. Yes, some solid genetics at work, but Simone's handling of the pups has been wonderful. They had their first nail trim with a dremel after five days here and were so okay (purring, actually) with foot handling, noise, (did the big dogs in front of them first, all my dogs are housedogs), that I did all nails, not the usual one nail a day for a few weeks.... they rolled upside down in my lap while I dremeled nano seconds and gave kisses. One serious lil guy tried to mouth the dremel and that was the only time....baby teeth will come out and I sorta wish that his had been a bit dulled. I have a pair of ripstop pants and two pair of men's woolen sox pulled over the calves yet the lil alpha bitch (she doesn't know about MY status quite yet) has bloodied the back of my calves anyway. All 3 phases, SUPERB. Almost embarrassed to take any credit for it....point and click puppies.
So I have 3 on order for delivery after my regionals next week. Anyone going to Kansas and wanna see some OFK pups, stop by the black jeep with the K9 trailer and ask. They'd love to meetcha, but you better be wearing something you don't care about or warn me to short leather leash them. Might even ask you to play a little buggy whip with em as I'll be busy trialing two dogs and in a new town.
I cannot recommend OFK highly enough. Every ounce of start work is so very evident in these pups, genetics aside. A LOT of time and love, effort has gone into stability with any surface, vacuums, other dogs, and happy willingness to play new games. They all sitz, platz, "look" and are beginning to offer fuss. They drive me with their very dark eyes. The silver sable female is just gorgeous, heck, they're all gorgeous. My business card says "powered by Old Farm Kennels and Eurosport" dot com.
Anyone want pics of any of the 3 phases, lemme know. Am not selling yet, want to put foundation on all, prelim, and the two I am not keeping will have to go to a very special home. Each has a distinct personality, each teaches me more every time we go out in the morning. I am loving these guys, homewreckers all, house time separately because the who will mummy love best spats started after two days here.
Of course, they know they are absolutely beloved, which doesn't hurt the attitude nor dampen the mouthiness or spirit they were born with, Simone nurtured, and I gratefully enjoy now. The next three will be from a recent litter and I so look forward to puppy (baby ones) kisses and nips again.
Puppy addicts anonymous anywhere? LOL, Janica
