AAArg! I do that ALL the time!
My seven month old has very light colored eyes. I think he's gorgeous (of course I'm biased) though. I bought him for working not looking but I'm curious.

My young sable dog looked to have light eyes at that age too. He's now 21 months old & his eyes are dark. I know how you feel though, mine is for sport not show, but I still would look at his eyes & kind of wince until they darkened up!

I don't recall any of my dogs eye color changing after
the very young puppy stage, but I have noticed that my
black & red Dana girl has eyes that compliment the redness
in her coat, her eyes are the same color, so it looks real pretty!

Eyes can definitely darken with maturity - have experienced it several times in my dogs
