how to upload photos in to the message box ? - Page 1

can someone please advise me how to upload photos into the message box on the board. thanks

In this "post a reply" box in the tool bar, there is a yellow box on the second row - it looks like a mountain & sun

Click on this box and when a new window pops up "Image Properties" there will be what looks like folder tabs just below the title and you want to choose the 3rd tab called "Upload"  when you get to the upload page there will be a place to enter the link address with a "browse" button to its right.

Hit the browse button and it will bring up your files/pictures - select the pic you want to upload and hit "open" - it will enter the file into the space and then you hit "send to server" - be patient, this takes a moment, you will be brought back to the "Image Properties" page and will show you a sample in the box.  To get this size picture, I changed the width of the picture to 500.  Good luck.

I am having a problem.

once I chose the photo and upload it it states that it has been sucessfully downloaded but in the preview box on the  original form is a bunch of latin like script and the photo does not appear.

In fact before i download the picture it appears like there ia a lot of latin like script in the preview box and I am not able to remove it.

on the actual message board just comes out a small box with an "x" in it so even though it said that it successfully upload the picture I still cannot get the picture on the message board box.

do you know what I am doing wrong ?

Don't pay any attention to what is in the box - just type in 500 in the box that says "width" and say ok - that is some type of hmtl file stuff lingo - dunno - but don't erase it.  When you change the width of the picture the heigth automatically adjusts to keep the picture in proportion.  Try again - hope it works.

I got it to work on one of my photos but i have some larger portrait size photos that when I downloaded as you said the outline of the picture went on to the message box but there was still a small "x" in the upper left hand corner and the photo did not come out. what did I do wrong ?

however, this photo came out and it is of Carlo von der Bosen Bruderschaft one of my dogs that is competing in the WUSV next week in Slovakia. here he is showing off some of his skills during the 2007 spring seiger  show in Taiwan.
