Many dogs still carry Busecker Schloss lines, but it is now in the 5th or 6th generation, or even further back. Which Busecker Schloss-dogs are you looking for?

My newborn (all black) litter has lots of them in there: Eros Busecker Schloss (son of VA-Seffe) through Ignaz, Sirk Busecker Schloss through Fero Zeuterner Himmelreich, Candie Busecker Schloss in the 4th generation, Nessel Busecker Schloss through Jago Lindenhalle and Marc Herkulesblick, and so on. Because of all the Busecker Schloss-ties, V-Greif zum Lahntal appears quite a few times (further back in the 6th or 7th generation) in my puppies' pedigree. He was used extensively by Busecker Schloss.

Please contact me if you are interested in this combination. Both parents are V-rated.

My stud dog, Carol, has Orpie Busecker Schloss (Half daughter) in the 4th generation. My female, Portia, has Orpie in the second. I will breed these two this winter for a 3,5 on Orpie, a linebreeding that has produced good results many times in the past.

My B and D litters vom Frauengarten are linebred on Orpie 5,4. Very nice working ability, conformation, solid nerves demonstrated on every occasion I know of linebred on Orpie.

Thanks to everyone who has responded both here and privately. I don't know if I should be surprised at the few responses or not. I guess these lines really are dying out-for lack of a better way to phrase it. Chris, I sent you an e mail. Shelley, I don't know Orpie and what is produced in particular that line other than what you mentioned. What else can you tell me? How would you describe grips and bone? and general health? Are any of you familiar with Sillo Busecker Schloß?

The female I am getting ready to have puppies with, is line-bred on V Mara v Busecker Schloß (V-BSP 95-100-99)... She comes through Va-Seffe which is from the S-Litter you are talking about.

Both my Stud dogs go to V Eros vom Busecker Schloß multiple times & V Rocco. Both from the S-Litter.

I think Leerburg has frozen semen from Natan Vom Busecker Schloss. I am not sure.

Leerburg had two litters out of Natan this past year so you'll be seeing this kennel name up front in the pedigrees again.....

I wrote a nice long response about Orpie and her progeny. Too bad my laptop overheated, crashed and lost the whole thing as I was writing it. Anyone interested can call me at 610-392-7197, as I don't have time to re-write the whole thing now. Weather is gorgeous, time to go train some dogs!

Kathy,

take a look at Melano vom Cap Arkona (V, KKL1, SchH3 FH1, ZW: 77 (a-normal): http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/310872.html

He seems to be one of the very few dogs that carry Busecker Schloss close in the pedigree. You know what is also interesting to see? That Busecker Schloss has cross-bred to showlines in the early 90s. For me that is proof that "old experienced" breeders look for possibilities too. I wonder what all the fanatics on both sides have to say about that? We need healthy dogs with correct structure, temperament and a great willingness to work, not extremes.
