My boy's Got It !!! - Page 1

Got to brag.....just a bit....I am a PROUD momma!

Went to 2nd Sch Club meet today with my boy Thor. 

1st week he watched and trainer did some assessment on him.  At first he had separation issues and kept looking for us.  But after a couple of times, when the trainer did an aggression approach, he reacted full on - "if I get off this lead, your a dead man" - trainer gave me the thumbs up.

This week, trainer worked him for prey drive, same thing, a little separation anxiety, not sure about things, after 2 attempts he just clicked and did exactly what the trainer wanted him to do.  By the last exercise the trainer kept saying "this is a great dog", "he's got it", "excellent reactions"

My biggest flaw right now is the lingo, prey, civil, etc.  but I'm learning, of course his compliments almost made me cry.

I am soooo pysched!!!!

I know initially he was slow to react because his OB training has been on a pinch collar and he's been taught not to "pull" so when the trainer wanted him to, he kept looking back at me to say "mom, is this guy trying to get me in trouble?" but soon realized he had his "all new training collar" on and just went with it....

CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is awesome. Keep up the great work, and continue working with your boy.  Sounds like it is great fun for both of you, and you will both benefit from going.

Thank you Melanie - I have been wanting to do this for over a year!  Family crisis - one after another - held me back and I am so glad to be finally working him and he absolutely loved it!  Can't wait for next meet Wednesday evening!

iluvmyGSD, thank you.  She's my little girl  and sooo smart.  Look at this 5 week old pic of her - those big eyes stole my heart!  I am so glad I finally found a club to attend, I really was scared for nothing!

OMDOG! how cute is that!!! that really is a great pic....my little girl saw it  and she hollered.."aweee...thats so adorable! I want a puppy like that!"...lol, to soon for puppy fever around here again....., but that pic makes it hard not to get it....

Congratulations, it sure is nice to get a pat on the back, once in a while, isn't it?! So, what do you intend to do with this dog/pup? Just curious, you may have even said it, sorry long day! Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
