A C rating in FCI equals OFA Mild or Noch Zug. here is link to the OFA page with the comparisons.

B. ANderson: I have all those ratings and have studied this till Im dizzy and even have been looking at x-rays of hips from every source I can find , to familiarize myself...and try to pick out the good ; bad and ugly lol..
But that FRI on this pedigree threw me.....never say that before....and I was a little disappointed on the ratings mild borderline ...not too good and even a few fast normals , which are by some breeders in germany a taboo.... I believe Jantie told me that...once on several posts...
It is only a study for me, as I dont intend on buying any other pups or adult dogs...but I find it fascinating to try to figure out why some of these dogs are bred , knowing hips are not that good....I guess, its all about the money.....

Howdy Yellowrose, hope you and all of them dogs are wel!
Maybe this can be of help to you, a nice chart from my friend Fred Lanting Copyright!! (Hope putting it here is ok and works!) More info of course in Fred's books.
As for me, MILD dysplasia is still dysplasia. Let's put it this way: scientists are on my side when it comes to stressing the severeness of CHD. People making money on the back of the GSD will say: "Ooh it's harmless really, dog can be put on the couch or in a wheelchair, a couple of operations and he'll probably be ok!"
Please do remember Germans x-ray at 1 year of age.
I would like to see x-rays here from them same doggies at the age of, let's say 3!
Chart must follow in second message!
