Just wanted to say that I find it interesting to go to the "switch breeds" link here and check out the traditional dogs, such as Rotweillers, Dobermanns, etc, that here in America get their tails docked or ears cropped.  You will see pics from Europe of these breeds, where they do not crop or dock pieces and parts of dogs, and see what Rotty's and Doby's and others, look like with long tails and such.  I am all for not cutting on dogs, but I have to admit that it takes some getting used to.  Their "new" "original" looks.

There is a school of thought, although much more so "Back in the Day" that docking a dog's tail was bad. The reason being, that it is felt a dog needs its tail for balance, and that docking it will interfere with the dog's movement and perception.

I understand that "overseas" it is not done, purely for humane purposes.
