but what does the hip rating mean for his sire and dam?
HD - Ausland (foreign country) a6? Is that good or bad?

by animules on 18 September 2007 - 18:09

I hope that isn't your dog. No offense, but that makes me want to vomit.

Don Corleone - Why?

by Don Corleone on 18 September 2007 - 20:09
This may be a bit harsh, but what is there about the dog that is to my liking? It must be a preference thing.
I like strong working lines. A sturdy looking dog that won't be lame after I work the crap out of him. I'm not much into the "show line look" that many find beautiful. If that is what I wanted, I would go buy a poodle and shave balls all over his body and hang out hang out with guys named Stephane or Pierre.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I guess I am feeling like I need to share mine today. Normally, I would have read this thread and went on my way. Maybe it is the enourmous amount of fluff on this board that has had me unsatisfied. Maybe I should go home and take some "Happy Pills"!

Don Corleone,
There are people on these boards, like me, that are interested in learning. A comment like that doesn't help me at all. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to spell out what you don't like about the dog.

l0l on Don. I don't think he is the greatest dog in the world but I don't think he is worthless.
RuegersDad, I think he means the dog isn't built for a hard day of work. I guess he is looking at the dogs angulation and all that good stuff, someone else will surely come and finish up. Really it all comes down to the working line to showline comparison.

To be even more blunt, the only way I would have that dog on my property, is if he ate my dog's and his own poop! You have to go back 3 generations to find a sch3. The whole bottom half is pretty bad! I bet it prances beautifully though.

For all of you show line people who's feathers were ruffled, I believe Ivan Balabanov bought a showline GSD that he will be competing with in about a year.

Don,
Don't get too excited. Ivan could make a dead dog heel like a champ. LOL
