To start with, it says this dog is OFA good, at the link provided above, yet when I go to OFA's website, typing in the name and or AKC #, brings the message there are no records on file. Was the OFA rating just received and OFA hasn't had a chance to update the registry? Don't really want to waste too much time here on bogus postings...

I will first have to say that I am not a big fan of the American bred dogs, but I will give you my opionon on her. She looks like she is a good pet type dog. She is very straight in the back, no agulation...to large for a female, not very good color, on the heavy side looks like she has a nice head..
it is hard to think back on the picture. What type of training have you done with her. You will not do well in confermation but might enjoy herding or agility or obedience. I would recommend that you look in to those venues and stear clear of confermation.

How do I know for sure this is "American line"? The pedigree gives me no indication, and she is the type that basically no GS cliques anywhere in the world would "approve".
That said, OMG! She looks like my Shana! Who was half American-all-breed, and half German working. She was a wonderful dog, the best dog I've ever even heard of, never had any temperament/character OR health issues, and frankly, I think much closer to the ideal envisioned than anything all the cliques think is "ideal" these days (roach backs? sagging bear heads? dragging butts? over-long legs? narrow build? Collie heads?). She was "old-fashioned", and that's the way I'd describe this pix of your dog. I hope you enjoy her. I'd love to have another like that.

Looks like a good pet, possibly.
Doubt you could do much in any category, but good luck if you want to try. :]

Well...um...it's an American dog alright! That's all I'll say on that.
I agree, she looks like a nice pet...sadly, probably nothing more, but a very nice pet! Just be happy with her, thats all that matters.

Would like to see a little more angulation, but I doubt you'll get it from her. She definatly has a pretty straight back on her. We don't see many American bred GSD's in the ring. Mostly German. Have fun with her though, she looks like a sweetheart.

She looks happy and healthy and well taken care of, but most of all she looks loved.
