My previous GSD descended directly from a Shutzhund working pair and she is probably the most dominant of the litter. I recall her being super zealous in sniffing when we go out to walk and I had a hard time with the leash. I would also consider her animal aggressive when she meets with other dogs.
My current (new) 3.5 month old GSD is extremely mild tempered, so mild that she hardly sniffs around when we go out to walk. Because she does not sniff, I am having a really hard time getting her to do her morning business. We would spend 30mins walking and she would hold everything until she arrives home. Is this puppy too shy to leave her marks outside the house?
I also remembered that my previous GSD would mouth us to death when she was at 3.5 months old but not this one. She does not mouth at all (which is good) and licks us when we have physical contact with her (which is also good).
Could you guys shed some light on how to convince her to get her business done outside the house, please?
Thanks!

Make play etc contingent on emptying herself. So for example do not allow dog out of garden etc until it has eliminated.........

You might try not taking her for such a long walk. Stand in one area, give her 10 minutes, then bring her inside and crate her for 10 minutes, then take her back out side for any other 10 minutes. Continue the 10 minute intervals until she potties. Play time is only after she potties where you want her to.

Thanks to both of you. I will try the 10min wait thingy and see what happens.
