Or is it just my imagination? when I first saw the pic the first impression I got was a dwarfed body. I am trying to learn to recognise things is the only reason I ask. www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/classifieds/44899.html

Yeah, that's out of proportion, but could have been the angle of the photo. However, if it's accidental I would not have used that pic for the ad. Anyone who knows the breed would recognize that the picture is whack. If they've deliberately photoshopped the pic, then they are not being smart about it. LOL.
Either way, it comes across as amateurish. Sheesh.

First thing that I said was angle of the picture. So many times it happens and if you are not Cammra savvy(?) then you would not know.
I have had picture to look like if the dog moved it would fall over on how big the head was LOL but it was the angle (kinda reminds me
of those cartoons we have all seen.
Cute puppy

Combination bad camera angle and ackward growth stage = bizarre photo. Also, is that puppies pigmentation a little odd? Cute, yes, but a little different? Not saying it's bad..would you call him a sable? I love the feet! jo

The puppy is sable, and that's not unusual. They start out darker, lighten up to where they are the lightest at 12-14 weeks or so, then slowly darken back out. And I also think it's more an awkward growth stage, and a dog with a big head.

it looks 2 me like what kalibeck said--bad camera angle and ackward growth stage ---
but it looks like most of the wierdness is in the neck, like the neck is to long......or mabye they had a wide collar on the pup and it flattened the fur on the neck making it look that way??

I have never seen penciling like that before outside of illustrations. thats pretty neat - its like tiger stripes almost.

I often wonder why many of the photos posted here are used to represent a top quality dog. Either the sellers don't have a clue or they don't understand how important it is to NOT post mediocre photos to the internet. Duh..............

Also looks like a lot of loose skin, which he will grow into. ;) Cute little pup.
