Does ester c improve the hips? For instance if a dog is rater mildy dysplastic would giving them ester c for a while improve their score to a fair or good rating?

No it doesnt do that;;;;;Ester c helps keep the elasticity in the joints by keeping the colagen in tact....nothing changes your hip placement...vit c can and should be give to female long before she is bred and then pups can start when 12 weeks old,,,they make drops , you can order online pet natural stores...

It has been proven that their is a difference in how dogs develop withthe use of Vit ester C......the only way a pup will improve is if it is a slight offeage in the way the head sits in the sockets and it is a pup and swimming and diet can  help and maybe a fair can be gotten.....but to change the rating , unless there is an error in positioning,,,,chances are almost impossible.....not saying one in 50,000 might change due to a better positioning if you get a displastic reading...

my dog takes a chewable dog form of ester-c. he takes 4 ; 1 for every twenty lbs., it's equal to 1000mg a day.

sueinc: Angus just answered that        but start with half that the first few days and increase or can have diahrea , just like we can take c and it will do the same thing, even make sores in your mouth if you try to take too much too fast.....move up the amount in week....dogs are like we are....diahrea is alway the side effect of evrything from   the garbage sack to the change in dog food.....just go easy on Vit c  until doggie gets it in their system  ......

also   Raw meat is a source of Natural Vit.c
