Yall makin it through the surprise hurricane OK? The outer edges are just now getting to me here in the toe of La, kinda worried, i hate being home alone in bad weather! LOL..I decided to take BOSS out for a potty before the weather got to bad, the sky was really dark, thunder and lighting gettin worse and this crazy dog takin his sweet time like nothings going on, the thunder does'nt bother him at all...i was beggin, please poo..hurry!....well anyways hope all of you and your pet are ok.....wish me luck!

Well , we in the gulf coast side stepped this one, .....My son is in Galveston right now and at 2:30 last night or this morn he said only gusty winds and little rain.... it went towards lousianna and of course the grounds are saturated already so any rain more will be disasterous....
the dogs cant even walk on his property its so squashy....very low where he lives.....

wellll...i got worked up for nothin! lol, only rained a little here... have had regular thunderstorms that were worse

yA , ME TOO,, i EMAILED MY SON , WITH ALL KINDS OF INSTRUCTONS FOR THE DOG AND HIM AND HE LAUGHED AND EMAILED ME BACK....ALREADY GONE BY AND NOT WINDY LIKE THEY SAID ONLY 40 MIL GUSTS AND THEY HAVE THEM ALL THE TIME....SO TODAY IS JUST A FEW SHOWERS.AND CLOUDY AND HUMID........THANK GOODNESS....MY PARTNER AND MY KID ARE IN THE EYE OF ALL THESE GULF COAST HURRICANES......
THATS WHY I LEFT DOWN THERE.....

Yes glad you all were OK! I am so glad I live where I don't have to worry about that stuff! But I do miss the ocean...

In Galveston the ocean got filthy about 29 years ago,,,since they have no place to drive up to the beach any longer...you go down to the beach and park on blvd...on West beach there are still places you can find to go down to the water , out by the private beach parks and private home owned communities......and on East side you can cross the ferry and go to the beaches , but the chemical plants ffrom Texas City are on that side...and like I said the pretty water dissappeard many years ago...tar on yu and your feet, clothes, at given times,,,,sea weed, sting rays, and those stinging floating things ,that I cant even remember what you call them......and big big ships in the channels , have lost the beauty i once saw as a child.....
I went to the Bahamas after my husband died, and oh what a beauty of oceans,,,,,and in Hawaii also....beautiful water.....I have only been to one other beach in Norfolk. Va., which was cleaner than Galveston, but I was there to visit by the base so I was nervous about all the naval ships......big things to see....awesome what out navy rides to sea in......
