A few days ago (Monday of this week: 9/10/2007) Naya, at 11.5 months of age, earned her "Therapy Dogs Incoperated" Therapy Dog certification. I had called the company and as she was SO close to a full 12 months they had agreed to provide us with her certificate proving she is a Certified Therapy Dog. The comment of the tester was this:
Rarely have I seen a dog so young being so masterfully trained and a bond so deep between handler (myself) and companion (Naya).
I had trained Naya myself with no assistance, so this was a HUGE ego boost for me!
I will post the actual paper as soon as I get it for all to see! The papers were sent to TDInc. today, so I should get the actual certificate in the next week or so.
Thank you all for sharing in our joy! This just goes to prove that the mis-informed ideas that PURE WORKINGLINES cannot be good family dogs, is total BS. Naya has very high drive, and excells in PP, and she earned that title. If any workingline owners out there think that SchH is the end all be all, I hope you read this.
And YES, I do consider this to be a "TITLE" and I will treat it as such.

Thank you all! I cannot wait until we start hitting the hospitals. I plan on going to the Child Wards first, as some of the issues with the children, I can relate to. I would also like to send her certification to all the places that DO NOT ALLOW the VERY Agressive Breed, the German Shepherd Dog, to show what our beloved breed is capable of!
