This a  hypothicial question. 

Is a SCH titled dog more valuable to you than a dual purpose certified dog??

I ask this because I hear of so many people worried about points on the field. 

I might breed to either, but which one depends upon the dogs themselves, the personality, strengths, weaknesses, conformation, and pedigree of each dog.  Also it is dependent upon what bitch I want to breed the dog to.   A dog is not just himself genetically, but all the dogs that stand behind him in his heritage.  If he is not a superior individual himself, then I don't care what his pedigree is, and also vice versa, if he is a great dog with a mediocre to bad pedigree, I am not interested.  A superior dog from a mediocre to bad genetic background is just a fluke, his pups are going to be like the dogs behind him unless the bitch is genetically very strong herself...but why pollute her lines...breed to the best dog you can that compliments your bitch's attributes, whatever work that best dog is doing.

I happened to be looking back at old threads and noticed you asked a question about adds with "Social Aggression", but you didn't really get a direct respons. So I will tell you what that means to me. If they are advertising this as a quality it means the same as civil aggression. In other words the dog is a dog that would do real man work, not just sport as in Schutzhund. It would be a dog that one could do personal protection with or is more inclined naturally to be more  suspicious of people. There are lots of defintions and ways to determine this but generally speaking if people are advertising this then the dogs are more serious.  It helps people know what the seller is selling, sport or family protection. This does not say the dog can only do one or the other, but gives you more of an idea of which way you lean.  Sinse this is your thread I didn't need to worry about hijacking it.  Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reponse on social aggression ( great definition)!!  I finally got ahold of breeder and his response was exactly the same. I was just confused by his wording in ad. I did buy a pup from him, Pick her up at airport FRI.    WOOO HOOO
