how do u add photos to messages on here please

See the smilely face, the third icon on the left from that is for pictures, click that, and click on upload, then go through
your files, make sure your picture isn't too big, check to make sure the top number is in the hundreds
not thousands, I screwed that up & but some gigantic pictures on. A number like 218 or 316 is good at the top.

I dont know why the URL didnt work

Don't click on reply at the side of someones post as that is only used for a quick reply without allowing pictures.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you should see a bigger reply box where you can type your message.

When you want to add a picture to your message click the box on the right of the anchor, if you put your mouse cursor over it it will say Insert/Edit image.

When the image properties box comes up, click where it says upload, then click browse and locate the picture on your computer that you want to upload, then press upload to server and press ok.
