This may or may not sound strange but I have a a 4 month old female that has been acting 'not like herself'. What I mean is she's a pretty normal puppy and last night she woke up just acting CRAZY....running around like something was getting her, biting at her feet ,belly or whatever. And acting like she was uncomfortable, like her skin was crawling, and whining. And she NEVER has acted this way, NEVER. I checked her paws, etc.. and made sure nothing was in there or that nothing had bit her.  And from I could tell everything was ok, looked normal.

So any suggestions??? My daughter called me here at work and said she's doing it again... I don't have a clue whats bothering her for her to act like this. I made a appt. w/ the vet but thats not until tomorrow morning. So I'm hoping someone might give me some advice or somthing  :)

I just want to make sure its not something serious (since she can't get comfortable...and I'm a bit worried

Try rinsing her thoroughly with cool water.  Rinse way longer than you think she needs to be.

She may be having an allergic reaction to something.  I had a puppy do that once and that is

what the vet said it was but the owner's never figured out what it was that set the puppy off.  They

did a couple days of benedryl and I believe he was fine after the rinsing and about 48 hours.   Call

your vet back and see if giving benedryl would be o.k.  I wouldn't do it in this situation without consulting

with them first in case they think there is something else going on.

Hope she feels better soon!
