Brittany

by Brittany on 03 September 2007 - 21:09

I just added a new feature onto my website lastnight. I want to test it out on different type of computers ranging from the very slow to the very fast, including dial ups.

If you go to my website: http://germanshepherdlitters.com/ scroll down where you see south florida weather. I've added up a LIVE LOOP. I want to see if anybody is having difficulties running the loop application.

I've tested this on both Mozilla Firefox and Microsofts internet Explorer (The latest version) and both browsers worked good.

My computer is pretty fast.. including my DSL connection. I want to see those who have slow computers and slow connection have any problems running this application.

Thanks!

Sorry Brittany, I had no luck.

I have dial up, and a fairly fast computer.  It froze my firefox to the point of having to reboot 3 times.

My IE opened  your site, but the home page wouldn't load.    I got to your forum sections though with no problems,  just the homepage where

your loop is wounldn't load.

I have satellite internet which is suppose to be the fastest internet around.  My computer specs are 3.06GHz, my RAM is 1.49 GB, which helps make my computer very fast.  I tried your link and had no problem what so ever bringing anything up.

macawpower58,
What's the current version of Firefox that you're running right now? Go to Help and About Mozilla Firefox to see the version number.

Make sure your Java (The loop is Java) is updated to the current version.

I'm currently using Java Platform Standard edition 6 Version 1.6.0 (Build 1.6.0._01-b06) you may download this version at http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

My Firefox is vesion 2.0.0.6

My Java is version JRE 1.6.0_0.2

Maybe it's my computer's fault, I most likely need a clean reinstall (which I usually regularly do), and am probably loaded down with crap. and corrupted files.

If everyone else is having no problems, your probably fine with your loop.
