I have a sable working line male, turning two this november. He's been licking at his paws lately, and, out of curiousity and concern, I checked it out. Between his pads it was slightly cut up, with a couple scabs. The fur was mildly bloody. In between his middle two toes is a small bump, there used to be two, but the other one went away. His other paw had no bumps in between the toes, but in between his paws, like I said, was slightly cut up and bloody. He's not an outside dog, he only goes out side to potty and for walks, so I doubted that theory. He is a working dog though, so I want him to be able to put all of his weight onto his paws while running. He doesn't limp, but I am scared it might be irritating or painful and therefore inflict on his workability. If anyone has any ideas what this is and how to help, any advice would be great. If I can't find any solution on here, I will, of course get it checked out by a vet even though it isn't very serious.

Langhaar. It looks somewhat like his, but no where near as serious. It's got me worried though. I'll definitely have him checked by a vet.
