How big is the pup?  You can see that b12 should be used in TINY doses.

I would recommend, instead, that you give your pupr or dog a multi-vitamin tablet, such as

...such as WELLNESS.

It is dangerous to tamper with B12.

I found my dogs didn't like the taste of Wellness, it is a great food but bland in taste for the picky eater. I recently purchased my 1 yr old male and he is a picky eater so he lost weight as I was feeding Wellness at the time. A friend of mine told me about a food called Innova and I tried that and he ate like he hadn't eaten in weeks. I have him on the adult and mix it with the canned adult and have now switched all my dogs to that. It is a little pricey but  my dogs look the best they ever have and they love the taste of it. Good Luck!

I have been giving my GSD with EPI this vitamin supplement with great success.  I see they have a B12 supplement too.
