PSA Western Regional Championships - Page 1

The top 3 Placements in the Level 1at the PSA Western Regional Championships this weekend were all GSD's. Congratulations!

3rd Place:     Amy Dart and Vito

2nd Place:     Jon Donais and Heiko of Weis Hausen K9

1st Place & Level 1-Western Regional Champions: Natalie Oliva and Jake (Jaks von Kiewel) of NorCal Valley K9

Nice to see more GSD's playing in this sport. Just to mention, there were 2 females that were very impressive and drew lots of cheers:

Cindy Alves and Sadie (Oroville, CA) - a Belschiek daughter with lots of speed

I'm looking forward to video's.  I'm sure 4pack and GARD are working on them for us to see.

Ill make a prediction,  that PSA grows by leaps & bounds here at home,  among serious workig dog enthusists.   It is an absolute blast, and extrememly challenging to Any dog. The scenarios are very realistic for PP. There are many more scenarios to train for, and there is a usually a surprise drill at a trial, that is not stated prior to.

I found a link of a trial by typing keyword... Donovan PSA.    There was a link page with 3 trials and many dogs working..Pits, Bulldog, Crosses, Mals, Dutchies, Sheps, Rott, Boxer.

I realize that the obedience demanded, isnt super strict and there is no tracking, but the other protection scenarios more than make up for any thing lacking, imo.  Course one could always FH track title their dog and do AKC obedience as well.

Yes those surprise scenarios! My God they came up with some crazy ones. I swear they were trying to fail every dog.

It was a hard and hot 2 days. Just spectating wore me out.

NO problemo. I think I got enough so you can see a full OB routine, a full 1 2 and 3 protection routine. Most of the clips I havn't even watched myself. Just had time to get them off my camera.
