Wow! Can't believe it, considering the fact I was just posting about this withing the last few days - but a dog that bit me, bit some else again. If you check out the thread "IS THIS THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A SERIOUS DISCUSSION ABOUT BITING" you can see the background. I was bitten while on a running trail by a GSD. This time he got a HS kid - a runner who was running in a GROUP during track practice on the running trail where I was bitten. As I was pulling into the track ealry this eve after work - I noticed a commotion, cops, etc....and passed the group slowly to look and voila! Same dog, same owner being interviewed by said cops. This time I gave my name to the police and they took some info from me concerning my incident last month. I told them I had no intention of pursuing anything on my account but felt compelled to let them know that the same dog had bitten me. They were inclined to give the dog some slack because it seems, they love GSD.....oh well - who DOESN'T love GSD? Anyway the kid's coach and mother were VERY interested in my story.....as you can imagine. I'm sure I'll hear from THEM again. I guess this dumb guy wasn't being honest when he promised me he would STAY OFF THE TRACK with the dog. I couldn't get all the details, but it seems the dog pulled the leash out of the owner's hands, jumped into the passing pack of runners and bit the kid. The other guys on his team did stand up for him and one of those was lightly bitten as well..... I don't know if this demonstrates ANYTHING... But now I believe I should have reported my incident,. Instead of being reasonable, as I thought I was being, I simply allowed a rotten dog to bite again. Lesson learned.

So now someone else has been bitten because you did not report a dangerous dog. Oh but it was a GSD....wtf?

Hey the dog nipped  him on the butt & didn't cause any damage.   What did you want him to do, call 911?  Talk about blaming the victim!

As someone who was a victim of this dog, you have the right to have the dogs full name and the owners name.  Did you get them?

What it demonstrates is the owner of the dog is an ass.

What it demonstrates is improper esquive techniques.

Is there any proof that this is really a Sch titled dog???

There does seem to be proof that the owner is to stupid to exist.   Imagine that ! ! ! ! !

This just proves my point> ABOVE ALL ELSE TEMPERMENT OF THE DOG>HANDLER>OB. THAT IS THE BE ALL/ END ALL, anything else is icing on the cake.

Do not blame yourself for not reporting the bite, being a lover of the breed, you would not want to put a bite record on the dog for a chickenshi_ bite in the rear end. if that misguided owner was trying to socailize the dog to correct behaviour should have muzzled it. Now the owner is most likely going to be sued and the dog is at risk along with I am sure hitting the news, GSD BITES KIDS JOGGING. One more nail for our Breed. If that idiot belongs or has recently joined a sch club, the trainer is in for it also. If Breeder sold the dog it will read breeder sells "dangerous dog". The dog to me sounds like more of a nut case, than a sch dog.  I am not saying in the proper hands, past, present or future the dog could not be a good dog, not having met the dog, I can not pass judgement on it. I can pass judgement on the Joker that took a dog with an attitdue/fear problem to a place that set the dog up to fail and for that

I HAVE THE TREE.

how do you know the dog is Schh titled?  Most likely he isn't.  If the owner says he is, I'd want to see the scorebook before I'd believe it.
