Has anybody ever been successful of receiving frozen AI from various countries before?

Who would you recommend of buying frozen semen who's stud owner lives in a different country?

As long as the shipper knows what they are doing then why not? Customs can be a hold up, but most shipping containers will have enough liquid nitrogen to hold a vial for a week - should be long enough to hold it even if there is a snag. The thing is - it's very expensive, as you would also have to do a surgical implant with the bitch, the shipping costs it's self can get up there depending on what country it is from. We exported some to Poland, it was an awful thing- customs held it for almost two weeks- needing the rabies info on the stud, vaccine history, all the registration info, but the bitch owner finally got it, and it was still vialble. It would be easier ( and cheaper) to ship the bitch have the vets there do the implant and ship her back pregnant. Assuming that the dog you would be looking at is no longer producing/ dead and you couldn't get a live breeding with him.
