I know the stack is not perfect but I would like opinions on this female.

by eddyhdy on 27 August 2007 - 01:08
She's beautiful, how old is she? My opinion is she looks alittle thin, but that's coming from a person who had a 14 pound chihuahua.

Her weight is just right.....I wish I could get my puppy owners to keep mine that way....I had one go to a trainer in Corsicana this week looked like a tank truck.....she will look different when she goes home, thats for sure.
I like her strong looking head for a female, back seems firm and I like the slight angulation which seems enough for me,,,shoulders look good, looks like she could have good strength in rear....cant see her feet in the grass but seems to be standing firmly , cant tell about how feet look...and llike Im not a vet, Im not use to conformation in show,,,,,,I just worked and didnt get into the show part....

I think that her weight is just right too. Too many "fluffy" dogs out there.

slightly too thin for my taste, but I'd rather see ribs than not at all. I like her very much - especially her very strong-looking bone, and nice square strong head. I love strong-looking females. Her ears are large - a little curly might be the picture - are they soft? If so then that would be something I don't like - but can't tell that from the picture just a guess. Her withers should be higher, if they were her topline would be better, as it is it's still very good. Shoulder and rear angulations look good to me - all over a really nice female IMO.

Ears look OK to me and I like her weight too. Looks very athletic. I hate to see "sausage dogs." Her back does look firm but might be slightly roached, or it could be the stack. Also concerned about her turn of stifle, but that could also be the stack. All in all a very nice bitch.

Love the head !!! Very typey... would like to see more wither, as it is in the pic makes her neck look elongated, would also like to see a little more front on her and little more chest depth, Love the rear though, and a better stack would illustrate her rear even better. Tail looks to be set just a bit high, But again that might smooth off with a better stack.
Weight wise I'd much rather see them like her, I don't like looking at sausages on legs, looking like they're gonna burst at the seems !!
My guess is she is very young ?? I think some of what I was saying may come with time, chest depth, and more front certainly would come with more time if she in fact a very young dog....
Nice girl, I'd be proud of her !! She is very attractive, Best of Luck with her whatever your plans are, Have fun !!

Here's another picture of her, not stacked but maybe you can tell some more. In this picture it looks like her right hind foot is turned in. This is only the way she was standing when I took the picture . It is not the way she stands. She's always in motion. Hard to get a good shot of her. Athletic girl.She also has some winter weight in this picture.

GSDlvr2, is this "a" from "f" and "b"? She's looking as lovely as ever! A gorgeous girl! and you can see her whole back end in the last picture was turned to the side, like she was getting ready to run. It doesn't appear that there is anything wrong with her rear end. Be proud of her, and I know you are!

Thanks everyone so far for your opinions . To answer your questions
eddyhdy-she just turned 6 yrs old recently.
eichenluft- her ears are not soft but could be a little firmer.
yes, she is a VERY powerful female.
Naya's mom- no, this is not her, this is her mom. And yes, she was getting ready to run {as usual}
