These are the X-rays of a two year old female gsd, who did participate in Shcutzhund and got her BH title...WHat rating do you think this female got on her rays? Thanks

Ok I am still learning and I will consider this a Test to see if I have been paying attention lol
The xray is not a good one for OFA cert, the body is not in alignment, The femur heads are not well defined and clear, The pelvis is tilted and it looks like she is kind of rolled tt he side.
Lets see how close I am in my evaluutation lol

The position is way off, but I would day the hips look "good" despite that.

If the ball and socket joint looks the same when the legs are positioned properly, looks good.

Very, very poor positioning, OFA should/may reject an x-ray looking like this. Best guess is OFA good, a better film could get an excellent. I assume your vet is not experienced in taking OFA films or maybe this one was a reject?

Bad Xray, Right hip looks to be seeded deeper into a deeper socket, and tighter. Left hip looks to be seeded looser into a socket that is not as deep as the right hip.... OFA, If you come back with good hips on that Xray you got a forgiving reading... My guess would be Fair at best but more accurately from THAT xray, Good on Right, Moderate to Fair on the left hip.

Please tell us the official rating at some point. Thanks.

The positioning is bad. I would think they would require a re-do and no rating given.

I agree the positioning is poor. From this xray one of the femural necks looks thickened If OFA evaluated this film they may have given a moderate displasia rating?

I think "fair" because of the right hip (as you are facing the exray) apears to have laxity as well as not being seated very well. As everyone else said... I can't believe they accepted such a poorly positioned exray. Although the position of the right hip seems to be good. The dog just apears to be "canted" off to the right.
