In disciplining Vick, commissioner Roger Goodell said Vick's admitted conduct was "not only illegal but also cruel and reprehensible" and regardless whether he personally placed bets, "your actions in funding the betting and your association with illegal gambling both violate the terms of your NFL player contract and expose you to corrupting influences in derogation of one of the most fundamental responsibilities of an NFL player."

I don't want to rain on the parade but wasn't Darryl and some others, banned for life and returned a couple of year later, to their respective sports leagues?
I do applaud the Commissioner of the NFL. An outstanding statement and decision.
Just saw on the news that law enforcement raided the home of Rapper DMX aka Earl Simmons I believe, and confiscated several emanciated dogs, and several dead and buried dogs. His lawyer states that the dogs were DMX's but that he had not been home for about two months and is upset that his dogs are in that state of condition. Officials state that they acted on a "tip" but refused to elaborate further. Could this be from Vick as part of a plea deal?
The plot sickens.

This guy is still running around free around here, but must be running for his life to pled as he is done, if he is turning on others then only time will tell(in jail) what will happen as he will not be to welcome after turning on anyone else, in jail they will except that with his money then he would just shut his mouth, so i guess when your scared, no amount of money can make it worth it, sort of like the dogs he hurt and put thru the trainning to become fighters . I have already stated that in Virigina is a commonwealth and it is tough to get around the law here, for once glad to see it, as this place can come from piligrams at times, very slow to become up to date. I personally hope that he pays for his abuse but one wonders how he got this far and how he got to taking it out on dogs.(hum)
